Hi! I'm Leka and this is my dance blog. For me dancing is a real therapy, a good way to make friends with myself, get to know my inner self and just relax. Following the music with my body I completely dissolve in the moment and feel truly alive. Dancing makes me happier. Therefore, in my blog I would like to share this bit of happiness with you.If you too want to fall in love with yourself and probably find harmony, stay with me. I will be your guide to the world of dance therapy ♡

Finding My Rhythm: A Reflection on My Dance Journey

As this topic is very close to me, I would like to share my own experience.

Dancing has been an important part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a child, I watched dance performances with wide-open eyes, captivated by every graceful movement and fluid step. It wasn't long before I found myself enrolled in choreography classes, eager to learn and explore the art form.

Over the course of five years, I immersed myself in dance classes, honing my skills and discovering new ones. It was a transformative experience that taught me more than just dance moves; it taught me about myself. I learned what I really enjoyed, what I was capable of and what I wanted out of life.

Through dance, I discovered a deep sense of self-expression and creativity. I learned to trust my instincts and let go of my inhibitions, allowing my body to move freely and authentically. It was a liberating experience, one that helped me to better understand who I was and what I valued. But dancing has also taught me the importance of perseverance and hard work. It wasn't always easy, and there were times when I felt frustrated or discouraged. But I learned to push through those moments, to keep practicing and refining my skills. It was a valuable lesson that has served me well in other areas of my life.

Eventually I came to the realisation that dance was not my true calling, at least not in the way I had originally imagined. But I have never regretted the five years I spent dancing; they were an essential part of my journey. They taught me about myself, about what I valued, about what I wanted out of life, all lessons that have continued to shape me long after I stopped attending dance classes regularly.  So I encourage anyone who has a passion for dance, or any other art form, to embrace the journey, for it is a transformative experience that will shape you in ways you never imagined.

In the end, I believe that dance is not just about the movements and the steps, it's about the journey itself. It's about discovering who you are, what you value and what you want out of life. And for that, I will always be grateful for my time as a dancer.
